Good resources to learn Swedish:

For the very beginner:

http://www.loecsen.com/?lang=en gives 200 useful expressions for your first steps in Sweden. http://www.skolutveckling.se/vaxthuset/bildteman/index.htm gives you some basic vocabulary lists. Click on the object to know it is pronounced

For the beginner to intermediate:

You can find courses from beginner to intermediate http://kurser03.cfl.se/safir04/startsida.htm  It offers seven interactive modules full of games, text and sound.

http://www.linguanet-europa.org offers also 3 resources. I have used http://www.goethe-verlag.com/ which offers to develop your vocabulary by giving you fill the blank type of questionnaire. It is rather fun.

For all:

If you get serious about Swedish, the essential resource is the Swedish – English dictionary from KTH http://lexin.nada.kth.se/

Of course, you got the language exchange that is fun and dynamic .

Hope it helps och lycka till! /A

www.tyda.se is a revolutionary online dictionary that even help to search expressions or group of words. It seems a little better than the Swedish – English dictionary from KTH http://lexin.nada.kth.se

I'd download "pimsleur" swedish. It's expensive, but you might be able to find it drifting along the internet somewhere. In my opinion it's gold.
